The Week So Far

Sunday was a rest day. As much for my mental health as physical.
Monday was a rest day too...cause well, I wanted it to be :)
Tuesday: I went to the Dash&Dine in the evening. It was raining and cold (high 30s). I knew I wasn't going to race, but I figured I had to be there for F4, so I might as well buck up. I did the 5 mile loop around the Res. It was actually way more fun running in the rain and cold than I thought it would be. Kind of fun to run without an agenda, just run. Met up with F4 for warmups and an easy mile and then watched the start of the race. I was soaked through with rain though and the cold won out. I headed home right after the start. Props for the folks brave enough to race in that weather.
Wednesday: slept in and missed the BAM swim. Hit Rally at 6pm with F4 for a spin workout. Nice workout, 1:15 total with a main set of 2x12'(3') at FTP and 12' at 80%.
Thursday: got to work a little early and then headed out for my "long run". These aren't really "long" yet. Maybe I should call them my "longest run so far". 10 miles in 1:25. Even split the run, but started out too hard. Need to let go and really relax that first 30 minutes. Use the energy at the end of the run to pick up the pace rather than just hang on. but a good run none the less.
