Last weekend was the first "real" long ride for the season. 70 miles in 3:40. Pretty fun stuff. Out and back on highway 52. I like it out there. Not that I like it for the views or atmosphere, but once you get past I-25, there's nothing to do but put your head down and work.
First hour easy with Win, Dirk, Ron, Michael and Doug. Doug peeled off. Second hour was 3x15'(5') at 80% (half ironman pace). made it way past Fort Lupton, 37 miles out. Then we turned around. Coming home, testosterone took over and we did 5 to 10 min pulls hard. I got dropped at some point. They let me back on though. When I was dropped, I was riding at 200 watts and they were pulling away.
We made it home in 1:40. Flyin'
