Went to Master's this morning at North Boulder Rec....got my butt handed to me. It was about perfect. Got up there early, had a coffee at Amante. Then to the swim. 1600 yards, some fast sets, and 'pop' goes the Mazza. I didn't make it through the workout, but then again, I didn't expect too. This is a long term project. I feel confident enough in my form and secure enough in my abilities to know when to call it done. I plan on getting the most out of these workouts. I joined for several reasons:
1. company and constructive peer pressure
2. it was good deal as I get 'regular' access to the Boulder Co Parks and Rec Centers, pools and the Res for $58/month
3. I needed something new and different to get me going again
4. I want to swim 1 hour at Canada, setting me up for a shot at my stretch goal of a 10:10 finish time.
(this one leads to another blog entry...but I'll save this one for the future)
It's only the third day of the year and I've already been all over emotionally and motivation wise. It's going to be a long winter. But Spring usually brings me around...just got to breath, find a rhythm and pattern to life to get me to May.
Happy New Year

Pop goes the Mazza. Nice.
Yah, its January. Not enough light and too much time to think. Crikey - I didn't even know what day it was yesterday. I am actually thinking I am ready for the office again just so I think about training and goals less.
Of course, that ought to change by Tuesday AM.
