
So today I had the slowest run I've had in weeks. Ran for a hour, 9:10/mile average. The good news was my HR was low 147 avg. The strange thing is I'm not really upset by this. Not too long ago I would have been devestated. I can almost hear my old self "I suck", "IM will kill me", "What am I trying for".
So, how is this improvement. Obvisouly the numbers don't show any. This run has, however, shown me the improvement I've had in my confidence and attitude. Seems totally backward that such a lame run could make me feel so good.
A little rest, a nice meal or two and I have no doubt I'll be back to knocking out my aerobic miles next week.
