Monday - Rest Day....sort of

Rest from running. Which I think is a good thing as I have developed an odd little pop in my right Achilles. My guess is that there is some swelling back there and that's causing the tendons to not track on their proper paths. It doesn't hurt at all...but I'm going to try to get into see my favorite PT.

the 'sort of rest day' means that I got on the bike for 45 min. Most of that was easy. My tri bike has the speedo pick up in the back, so I can see mph as I ride. I know that the mph isn't 'real', but it's pretty repeatable. I check the pressure on my rear tire, 100 psi, and I tightened the resistance roll, 3 full turns after it first touched the tire. Those are about the only variables that I can control, at least easily control.

20 min Easy, then 3 'miles' for best time. All I can say is that I have a LOT of work to do on the bike. I did 3 in 10:00. Focused on a fluid pedal stroke and keeping my cadance between 90 and 95 rpm.

Felt fine afterwards though. And that's a good sign.
