Tuesday 2/5 R:5 miles 45 min

Nice comfortable run. Ran up to Davidson Mesa and then down to Via Appia near S. Boudler Rd. and then back to the office. The Mesa and the trail down to VA was covered in loose pack and fresh snow. Wasn't worried about pac here at all. Just focused on a nice stride rate and "floating" over the ruts and frozen ski tracks. I've had a difficult time running on this stuff in the past. I'm guess that is fear, fear of falling, twisting an ankle etc. So yesterday it was head games. I keep telling myself to 'float' and 'glide' over the trail. It seemed to help.

Visited BR at Paradigm PT to have him look at my right Achilles. It's actually my Tibialis posterior that's causing the pop down there. He also measured my dorsal flexion for each foot. My left measured at 12 degrees, typical measurement. My right foot measured at 5 degrees. So, it's time to pay attention to my warm ups and cool downs, stretching, and using the Trigger Point tools on a regular basis. In the mean time, keep logging miles. Trials of Miles, Miles of Trials.
