Well, something is working...ran a 5k on Saturday morning. Nice little race, the 25th Brighton Turkey Trot. Burritos and coffee for after the race, nice goody bag. It was a Chilly morning, so took a little extra time to jog before the race. got out a little fast, settled for the second mile and tried to pick it up over the last 1/5 mile. All in all a nice day. My training is still focused on the LT stuff, so spending time at my current 5k/10k speed. In another few weeks, I'll complete a block of training where the focus is running faster than 5k pace. It will be interesting to see if that comes through in race times. I'm looking forward to it. Numbers for the race are below.
