from the Eerie Erie 5k

Something I've been working on with my running. When I speed up, I tend to stride out, really kicking that front leg out. It's bad, turns into a serious heel strike. At the race this weekend, over the last 1/2 mile, I was really trying to keep my turnover high and stride short. "Quick, Lean" is what I was telling myself. Here's a pic about .2 from the finish. It's pretty hard to get a whole lot from just one pic, but for what it's worth.... I'm okay with what I see, my grounded foot is a little forward, but the lean looks ok and there isn't a ton of bend in the waist. Leg speed is something I need to improve some if I want to run in the 19s.
