Rest day. Spent the evening looking through my tri and running books, laying out the next 20 weeks. IM Canada is 20 weeks away. I'm thinking 10-14 wks of aerobic (MAF & strength & form work). Keep this up until the tests show a plateau. I'm staying pretty flexible here. I'm not sure how I'll progress, so I'll let the tests tell me when to move to a Build phase. That will be 4-6 wks of AeT (race pace) work. Then about 2 weeks Taper/Recover.
More to come on this topic....
Questions:
Is your MAF number the same on the bike and run?
As you increase your effort, you get to a HR where you take a first deep breath...is this HR the same as your MAF HR? (I think the MAF HR is a little lower)

i THINK that MAF on the bike is the same as MAF on a run. That said, PE is going to be harder on a bike to get the PE on a run. At least it is for me. Apparently the weight bearing nature of running increases the HR naturally, more than a bike.
Lucho or CV ought to weigh in on this question. I'd suggest you fire it off to them.
fwiw, my MAF is around ten beats lower on the bike(corresponds to my LT being exactly ten beats lower than my run one). if you are a runner originally, i would expect the same kind of difference!
